Discussion Series Kicks Off

The Department of Sociology and Criminology presented the first in a series of Brown Bag Luncheons on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

David Jenks, associate professor of criminology and director of graduate studies, Mike Johnson, assistant professor of criminology, and Todd Matthews, assistant professor of sociology, presented the discussion topic, “Predictors of Illicit Adolescent Gun Ownership.”

The Department of Sociology and Criminology offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs including a minor in Women’s Studies.  The Masters in Criminology program is the only one offered in the state of Georgia. The Center for the Study of Crime and Social Justice is also housed there.
