Sophie Milman, a Toronto-based jazz singer, will set West Georgia ablaze with her sizzling quartet on Monday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts.
Despite her youth, Sophie Milman’s voice and music bears a passion and wisdom beyond her years. Born in Russia, Milman learned the art of jazz at a young age, singing along to the “Great North American jazz records” that her father acquired through the underground in communist Russia.
Her latest release “Take Love Easy” soared to the top of the charts as the number one jazz album on iTunes USA and “I Can’t Make You Love Me” became the number two hit single.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, and $5 for children. The Townsend Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and one hour before show times.
