Caravan Rolls Through Metro Atlanta

Friday, May 7, 2010

The University of West Georgia Wolves Caravan continues its popular promotional tour next week with two stops in the metro Atlanta area. On Tuesday, May 11, it rolls into the 1818 Club in Duluth from 6-8 p.m.

On Thursday, May 13, it will be at Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse in Newnan from 6-8 p.m. That event will be held in conjunction with UWG’s Newnan Campus.

The goal of the Wolves Caravan is to help UWG build on the growing enthusiasm behind its athletic program. According to Eddie Duffey, associate athletics director, it is envisioned as a time to meet and greet UWG alumni, friends and fans.

“It is a wonderful opportunity for us as a department to go into communities and meet our supporters,” he said. “We’re really excited about it.”

Joining Duffey at the event will be director of athletics and head football coach Daryl Dickey, along with other members of the program. All UWG fans and alumni in the area are encouraged to come out to learn about the direction of the program and about what individuals can do to participate in the growth.
