Perfect Gentlemen Bring Music, Humor to UWG

Thursday, May 20, 2010

The Townsend Center for the Performing Arts invites the community to kick off Memorial Day weekend with an evening of comedy and song starring The Perfect Gentlemen on Thursday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m.

The Perfect Gentlemen are a blend of harmony and humor harkening back to the days of Vaudeville, The Ink Spots and the Pied Pipers. Not only does the group get audiences’ toes tapping, they draw them into all kinds of mischief and merry-making. Crisscrossing the globe since 1998, they have toured from Los Angeles to London and Aloha to Rio de Janeiro.

Their signature piece, “Salute to the 20th Century,” is a hilarious take on the de-evolution of music over the last century. In 2002, The Perfect Gentlemen were named the country’s best a cappella vocal group in the National Harmony Sweepstakes.

Tickets are $12 for adults; $9 for seniors and members of the military; $5 for children; and $7 for UWG students with ID. The event is sponsored by Dr. Chester and Mrs. Faye Gibson. For more information, call 678-839-4722.
