The UWG Saxophone Ensemble will perform its final concert of the season on Tuesday, April 13, at 8:15 p.m. in the Campus Center Ballroom. Admission is free and the community is invited to attend.
The spring program will include Gustav Holst's “First Suite in E-flat,” Gabriel Faure's “Pavane” and Lucie Robert's “10 + 1” with Clemson University's Professor of Music Linda Li-Bleuel on piano.
UWG graduate assistant Chad Sims will perform his own arrangement of J. Aaron McDermid's “Te Lucis Ante Terminum.”
This year has been enormously successful for the saxophone ensemble. The group received a major new work written for and dedicated to them and was selected through peer review to perform at the National Biennial Meeting of the North American Saxophone Alliance at the University of Georgia.
