The plot thickens when a mutant child is sighted in Hope Falls, Virginia. A half boy-half bat creature, discovered in a cave, is believed to be living with the town veterinarian, his wife and daughter. Bat Boy is immediately welcomed into the family but quickly realizes that the town is considerably less hospitable.
