The H1N1 flu continues to spread across the nation, hitting college campuses especially hard. But you can help protect yourself and those around you by getting the H1N1 shot.
The shot will be offered to all students, faculty and staff, and dependents of faculty and staff, on Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Z-6 building.
Students, faculty and staff must show their UWG ID.
All students who get the shot will receive an “I Beat the Bug” t-shirt, while supplies last.
The vaccination has been recommended by medical experts as being safe and effective.
A UWG student who has had the vaccination believes an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
“It’s really nothing to be afraid of … it’s going to help,” said Sean Gray, a junior on the UWG Wolves football team. “Students are always in contact with each other. There’re possibilities for transmitting viruses and stuff like that. It’s better to be safe than sorry,” Gray said.
