Gallery Hosts Aussies' Work

The Bruce Bobick Gallery at the University of West Georgia is now showing an exhibit of Contemporary Prints from Australia through November 19. An artist reception is planned for Friday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. and the community is invited to attend.

The Bruce Bobick Gallery at the University of West Georgia is now showing an exhibit of Contemporary Prints from Australia through November 19. An artist reception is planned for Friday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. and the community is invited to attend.Curators Fred Hagstrom and Ron McBurnie have selected work by 11 of Australia’s best print artists for a diverse presentation in terms of image and technique. This exhibition provides an exciting introduction to the rich and active printmaking scene largely unknown to the American audience.

Aussie printmakers whose work is on display include Rosalind Atkins, Reu Hanks, Jonathan Tse, G.W. Bot (Chrissy Grishin), Judy Watson, Graham Fransella, McBurnie, Euan Macleod, Mike Schlitz, Martin King and Juli Haas.
