The Supernight fundraiser will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Food Services Building (Z-6) with live music and silent auctions, beachcomber appetizers and an open bar featuring Margaritas from Margaritaville. The evening continues with a low country boil and seafood entrées and a Jimmy Buffett-inspired dessert of Key Lime Pie.
The “Come Blow Out Your Flip-Flops at Supernight” also features “A1A,” the Original and Official Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show, and live entertainment from Nadirah Shakoor, lead singer of the Coral Reefer Band.
The annual event is the largest fundraiser for the UWG athletics department.
“We are excited about this year's event, and we have some truly fun entertainment lined up,” said Assistant Athletic Director and event organizer Michael Cooney. “The value that people will receive this year is phenomenal. We know that times are tough out there for people, but we are sure that everyone that joins us this year will get more for their money than ever before.”
The live auction includes a Las Vegas getaway; a gold Fender guitar autographed by Eagles’ band members; getaway packages to Tybee Island, Panama City and Napa Valley; and exclusive sports packages that include use of a Winnebago to see the Bulldogs.
Supernight tickets are priced at $100 for a single ticket and $800 for a table. Members of the West Georgia Athletic Fund may purchase up to two tickets for a reduced price of $75.
