West Georgia's volleyball squad will host four matches this month and fans who venture to The Coliseum will see a new color along with the Wolves' red, white and blue.
In partnering with Komen for the Cure, the UWG volleyball squad will participate in Think Pink as a part of National Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. The Wolves will wear pink during their warm-ups as well as sell merchandise for breast cancer research.
Items offered will be pink miniature volleyballs and Think Pink tee shirts. Proceeds from the sale of these items will go to Komen for the Cure and breast cancer research.
The Think Pink dates for UWG volleyball begin next Tuesday, October 6, as the Wolves host Alabama-Huntsville in a GSC match-up. The Wolves host Montevallo on October 13, followed by Valdosta State on October 20. The final "Think Pink" date for UWG volleyball will be on October 27 against Armstrong Atlantic.
The Wolves also spent time earlier this semester at Lowe's Home Improvement in Carrollton, which is the corporate sponsor for the UWG Think Pink events. The team set up tables and handed out information about Komen for the Cure to raise awareness about breast cancer.
