The West Georgia Wolves Sports Network will bring Wolves football to UWG followers across the country. The West Georgia Wolves Sports Network (WGWSN) is anchored by flagship station WCKS Kiss-102.7 FM in Carrollton.
The West Georgia Wolves Sports Network, now in its third year of operation, will provide full coverage of University of West Georgia Wolves football this season. WGWSN football programming will include all game broadcasts, a one-hour “Countdown To Kickoff” pre-game show, as well has halftime and postgame programs.
“The West Georgia Wolves Tailgate Show,” presented by Food Lion, will be broadcast from the UWG Booster Club area at University Stadium two hours prior to kickoff for all home games this fall.
“The Daryl Dickey Show” will broadcast from 7-8 p.m. every Monday night and will feature the head coach of the Wolves.
Returning for his 28th year behind the microphone is the “Voice of the Wolves,” Mitch Gray with Andy Miccachione back to provide color-commentary. The studio host and executive director and producer of WGWSN is Aaron Sones.
“We could not be more excited about the upcoming football season and the opportunity to bring Wolves football to UWG fans everywhere,” Sones said. “Our goal each year is to have one of the best, if not the best, sports networks in Division II athletics.”
Saturday’s broadcast will start at 12:30 EDT with “Countdown To Kickoff” as the Wolves open 2009 at the Wingate Bulldogs with kickoff slated for 1:30 EDT.
