UWG Students Set to Move on Campus

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Fall semester is about to begin and new and returning students will be moving on to the UWG campus and into their residence halls.  Once settled, students will have the opportunity to spend time getting acquainted and reacquainted with each other and faculty and staff during UWG Welcome Week.

A Welcome Back Blast will provide a live interactive show with Travelin' Max, cotton candy and snow cones, and a blast of fireworks at the end of the evening.  Also scheduled is a smoker cookout and a slew of Welcome Back novelty locations for students to collect useful and fun items for school.

During the first week on campus, student clubs and organizations will be busy recruiting new members and making campus life at UWG a memorable experience.

Celebrating their new Greek Village and another year at UWG, sororities and fraternities will be cooking up BBQ at the Campus Center to provide free and delicious meals to students.

The Campus Center will be open and ready to go with state-of-the-art fitness facilities, indoor track, basketball courts, game room and its very high climbing wall. Overlooking Love Valley, the facility is a recreational center for students to learn, play, relax, and be connected to the campus.
