Few folks get to reach 100 and fewer still debut as an artist. The Department of Art will host a unique show in the Bobick Art Gallery this month.
An opening reception and exhibit on campus will introduce 100-year-old Geneviere Luber and her ceramic art show, “Geneviere Luber: Centennial 100 years of Art” at 4 p.m. today in the Humanities Building.
UWG student Gloria Carson, niece and caregiver to Luber, brought the artist to several art classes on campus, and the passion for ceramics was born. The show and reception are free, and the community is invited to attend.
The Bobick Gallery and Gallery Two are open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 678-839-6521.
