Dr. Frances Smith Foster, a Charles Howard Candler Professor of English and Women’s Studies at Emory University, will discuss: “Love, Lies, History and Happiness” on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at 3:30pm in TLC 1200.Dr. Frances Smith Foster, a Charles Howard Candler Professor of English and Women’s Studies at Emory University, will discuss: “Love, Lies, History and Happiness” on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at 3:30pm in TLC 1200.

Foster has edited or written more than a dozen books, including Love and Marriage in early African America, Written By Herself: Production by African American Women, 1746-1892 and Witnessing Slavery: The Development of the Ante-Bellum Slave Narrative.
