University of West Georgia graduate and Osborne High School Principal Steve Miletto has been named 2009 Principal of the Year by the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals.
Miletto has been instrumental in changing the culture of one of the most diverse student populations in Georgia. His accomplishments have gained recognition at both state and national levels.
The Principal of the Year recognition program honors principals that excel in educational leadership, resolving complex problems, developing self and others, and community service. Miletto will represent the state in the competition for National Principal of the Year.
Miletto, a former history teacher, has been at the helm of Osborne High School since 2003 and in school administration since 1995 in the Rockdale, Walton and Cobb County school systems.
Miletto earned his Ed.S. in educational leadership from UWG in 1997.
