The University of West Georgia’s Richards College of Business and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce are hosting an Economic Forecast Breakfast on Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 a.m. -9 a.m. in the UWG Campus Center Ballroom.
William “Joey” Smith, associate professor of economics at UWG, will give the forecast for the West Georgia region, and Martin A. Regalia, chief economist at the United States Chamber of Commerce will give the forecast for the United States.
Smith was a research associate at the Fiscal Research Center at Georgia State University, who specialized in the study of growth patterns of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Regalia, senior vice president for economic and tax policy, oversees the Chamber’s Council on Small Business and the Corporate Leadership Advisory Council.
Business leaders in all fields, educators, government officials and the general public are encouraged to attend. Each attendee will receive a copy of the 2010 West Georgia Regional Outlook.
The conference costs $30 per person, or $200 for a table of eight.
