Exhibition Showcases Student Art

The Department of Art will present an Juried Student Art Exhibition Awards Ceremony and Artist Talk featuring popular Southern artist and Carrollton resident Stephen Penley will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 10, in Room 312 in Humanities. An opening reception will follow the talk in the atriums.

The Department of Art will present an Juried Student Art Exhibition Awards Ceremony and Artist Talk featuring popular Southern artist and Carrollton resident Stephen Penley will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 10, in Room 312 in Humanities. An opening reception will follow the talk in the atriums.The Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition will run through Friday, April 24, in the Bruce Bobick Gallery and Gallery Two in the Humanities Building.

Student artists submit their work and those pieces chosen for display are judged and awarded by the juror. Exhibited works are priced by the artists and available for purchase.

Penley has recently published his images of American heroes, icons, and institutions in the book “The Reconstruction Of America.” Penley’s work is represented by Matre Gallery of Atlanta.
