The Kiwanis Club of Carrollton recently gave the University of West Georgia a $5,000 check, the last installment of a pledge for the construction of the football stadium.
In all, the club donated $25,000 for the stadium. The money was given in $5,000 increments over five years, said Neil Weathington, the club president, during an open-air lunch at the stadium on Oct. 22.
Daryl Dickey, the Wolves’ Head Football Coach, received the check.
“We just appreciate all the support and the things they have done for the University of West Georgia and the community,” Dickey said after the lunch.
