Open House of The Coliseum begins at 4 p.m. and will include tours of the state-of-the-art academic facilities and the new gymnasium. The 123,000 square foot Coliseum is built in two sections connected by a two-story glass atrium.
The largest section of The Coliseum can be configured for five individual instructional spaces or a single arena for large events. The second section houses academic offices and classrooms featuring a state-of-the art strength laboratory and human performance lab.
The human performance lab houses state-of-the-art equipment for specific research on health and physiology topics and issues. The lab holds great promise for faculty to better understand and to conduct specific research on health and exercise-related issues that can truly impact society.
Gleaming floors, a tiered classroom for lectures, multimedia integration throughout and a 7,000-seat arena help to make this building a functional educational institution for students, faculty and the community.
