Student members of the Management Club in the Richards College of Business at the University of West Georgia found a surprise guest as they took a tour of the Chick-fil-A headquarters in Atlanta. They received an informal visit from founder Truett Cathy, who pushed back a FOX News interview to speak with the group of 12. Advisors for the club are Elizabeth F. Clenney, lecturer in business administration, and Dr. Erich B. Bergiel, assistant professor of business administration. The RCOB offers two degrees in the Department of Management, a BBA in Management and Management Information Systems. Working with College of Education, the department also offers a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Education and an Education Specialist degree in Business Education. These programs prepare students for careers in teaching, instructional service and leadership positions in secondary education, and for business positions requiring business/teaching backgrounds.
