UWG Kawai EPIC Partner

The University of West Georgia received a prestigious honor of being recognized as a Kawai EPIC Partner at a reception on campus. (L-R) Dr. Kevin Hibbard, professor of music and chair of the Department of Music, accepted a $30,000 check from Corry Callies, director of Institutional Relations for Kawai America Corporation, as Dr. Thomas Hynes, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, looks on holding a plaque honoring the occasion. UWG is only the sixth North American school to achieve the distinction of as a Kawai EPIC Partner. The department recently acquired 30 new Kawai pianos with five of those being the exclusive, hand-built Shigeru Kawai models.
