Washington (‘04) is starring in “Welcome Home, Jenny Sutter” through Sunday, Oct. 12, at the 7 Stages Back Stage Theatre in Atlanta. Written by Julie Marie Myatt, “Welcome Home” features the tale of a female soldier who returns home from a tour of duty in Iraq. Not wanting to face her family and former life yet, Jenny Sutter, played by Washington, flees to Slab City, a concrete garden of wandering souls, but eventually finds the courage to overcome her weary, war-torn spirit and return home to her loved ones.

A graduate of the UWG theatre program and the West Georgia Theatre Company, Washington has performed in numerous productions, including “Three Postcards” and “Breath, Boom.”

Along with the student theatre company, WGTC, West Georgia offers a Bachelor’s degree in theatre acting and theatre design to students.
