The University of West Georgia and the UWG Police Department will host a community Public Safety Fair on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free and the community is invited to attend.
The fun family event will have something for everyone as local law enforcement agencies and fire fighters mix valuable safety lessons with an entertaining format.
Agencies that will be at the Safety Fair include the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Carrollton, Temple and Villa Rica Police Departments, Carroll County Fire and Rescue, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and the Carrollton Fire Department. The UWG police officers and Health Services personnel will also be handing out helpful information to visitors.
Fire trucks, bomb trucks, police cars and ATVs will be on display in the lot across from the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts on the UWG campus. Come meet your civic servants and learn how to be safe. For more information, call 678-839-6255.
