Grab a picnic basket, Frisbee and blanket and get comfortable for the second annual Screen on the Green family outdoor movie on Friday, August 8, at the University of West Georgia campus.
The movie will take the audience back to the 1950s Spielberg-style in a DeLorean time machine with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd in this Oscar-winning 1980s sci-fi comedy.
The Screen on the Green event is free and will be shown outdoors in Love Valley. Families and groups are invited to arrive early and bring a picnic to enjoy before the movie, which begins at dark.
The free event is sponsored by the Carroll EMC Foundation, state Representative Mark Butler, Senator Bill Hamrick, the Community Foundation of West Georgia and University of West Georgia Foundation. Kim Jones, president of the Community Foundation applauded the return of the big screen.
"The Community Foundation is excited to partner with the University of West Georgia Foundation and the Carroll EMC Foundation to present Screen on the Green again,” said Jones. “We hope everyone will take advantage of a free evening of entertainment for all ages."
