Professors Receive Fulbright Scholarships

Dr. John Bleuel, associate professor of music, received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach at the National Chengchi University in Taipei for the fall semester.Dr. John Bleuel, associate professor of music, received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach at the National Chengchi University in Taipei for the fall semester.

Clemson University piano professor Dr. Linda Li-Bleuel, Bleuel’s wife, has also been named a 2008 Fulbright Scholar. Li-Bleuel will teach, perform and present master classes in the department of Western music at the Chinese Cultural University in Taiwan this fall through the prestigious Fulbright program, the nation's largest international exchange program.

Dr. John Bleuel will be an artist-in-residence at Chenchi and also teach saxophone at the Taipei National University. He was also a guest professor at Shanxi Normal University in X’ian, the Central Conservatory of Beijing, and at Sichuan Conservatory of Music in Chengdu in the past.
