Wolves Baseball to Begin at Home

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

The weather that moved through the Talladega area recently has taken its toll on the Talladega baseball field. It forced Skip Fite, UWG’s head baseball coach to change the season opener, which was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5.

The Wolves will now play the Talladega Tornadoes on Sunday, Feb. 6,  at home.

"Their field is under water right now with all this rain we've had in the last two days and it is supposed to rain again on Friday," Fite said. "So we are going to help them out, move the game to Sunday and play it here at West Georgia."

Sunday's first pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Cole Field.

The cost of admission to West Georgia baseball games is $5. A season-ticket package of 10 games costs $25.
