Carver High Story Highlights Evolution of Public Education

The Office of Institutional Diversity at the University of West Georgia and the Carver High Museum and Archives of West Georgia Inc. are pleased to invite you to a history display featuring: “The Carver High Story- A Black History Exhibit." The exhibit will be on display in February, Mondays-Fridays, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., in Row Hall, Room 219 on the UWG campus.

The exhibit will feature a collection of memorabilia (on loan from Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Ward and The Carver High Museum and Archives of West Georgia, Inc.) that depicts the story of G.W. Carver High School (1954-1969) and the evolution of public education of African Americans in Carroll County from the early 1900s to the late 1960s.

Schools, community groups and the public are encouraged to visit this free exhibit. Advance reservations are requested for large groups. For reservations call 678-839-5400.
