The University of West Georgia awarded Uriel Moorer of Forest Park the Student Employee of the Year award. The Office of Career Services sponsors the annual competition that highlights a student worker who demonstrates outstanding performance in their position.
Moorer worked in the Department of Residence Life as a Resident Assistant (RA) for ten months and was sponsored by Naveen Bopearatchy, residence life coordinator. Bopearatchy is proud of Moorer’s hard work.
“He is very diligent and puts a lot of pride, thought and effort into his work,” said Bopearatchy. “He goes above and beyond the Resident Assistant duties and is a team player as well as a leader when the time comes to get things done.”
Bopearatchy also commented on Moorer’s selflessness.
“It doesn’t matter what type of day he has had, if someone needs him he will be there to support them,” said Bopearatchy. “Every week someone will comment on their weekly reports about some little thing he did to make their day.”
Moorer was awarded a plaque and a check for $100.
