Holly Springs Elementary School fourth grade students enjoyed a field day learning about geology at the University of West Georgia. Dr. Randy Kath, professor of geology, helped the young visitorsunderstand the hydrologic cycle and how contaminants can seep into ground water. Using test tubes, sand and red and green dyes, (l-r) Jahbril Everett, Trinity Banks and Olivia Sizemore conduct an experiment of porosity and permeability.
