Everyone is invited to travel without a passport to more than 40 countries at the UWG International Night on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. in the Food Services Building (Z-6).
Hosted by the International Student Club, the evening will begin with samplings of international cuisine, followed by exhibits, dancing, singing and fashion shows that will display clothing from around the world. The celebration will range from bachata, salsa and Reggaetton dance to a Danish Potluck Saxophone Intermezzo.
There are approximately 140 international students enrolled at UWG from many diverse countries including Antigua, Brazil, Ecuador, Germany and Romania. Come dance the bachata, salsa and paranda with these students and the campus community.
Sylvia Shortt, assistant director of International Services and Programs, said the evening will be an experience that you will never forget.
“Come experience a trip around the world,” said Shortt. “Expand your cultural knowledge of other countries by coming to eat exotic foods and watch dancing and singing.”
Admission is $5 for UWG students with ID, $7 for children under 12 and $8 for the community, including faculty and staff. For more information, call 678-839-4780.
