The beginning of the second half of West Georgia Wolves’ basketball season has been delayed a day, thanks to transportation issues.
West Georgia and Palm Beach Atlantic were scheduled to meet at 7:30 Friday evening in the HPE Building/Campus Center in UWG’s first game back from the holiday break. However, a bus breakdown left the visitors from South Florida stranded Thursday and forced the game’s postponement.
As a result, the Wolves and Sailfish will tip Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Admission will be free, and the game can be heard around the area on WCKS, Kiss-102.7 FM.
Palm Beach Atlantic began its journey to Carrollton early Thursday. However, a bus breakdown left them stranded in the Orlando area. When a replacement part arrived to repair the bus, mechanics discovered it was for a different type vehicle.
The Sailfish are scheduled to resume their trip Friday, and arrive in Carrollton Friday evening.
