Hardin Elected President of GACE

Congratulations to Vicki Hardin, Assistant Director of Career Services, who has been elected President of the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE) during their recent annual conference at Callaway Gardens. Congratulations to Vicki Hardin, Assistant Director of Career Services, who has been elected President of the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE) during their recent annual conference at Callaway Gardens. Hardin, who has been with UWG's Career Services Department since 2004, is responsible for the Professional Practice Program encompassing internships, cooperative education and volunteer opportunities for UWG students.

The Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers, founded in 1970, is a group of university career services and corporate human resources professionals who work together to provide opportunities in the career selection and job search of students and alumni of post- secondary educational institutions within Georgia. It consists of approximately 300 members. Hardin has served in several leadership roles with the organization including Chairperson of the Awards Committee, Chairperson of the annual College to Career Fair planning committee, and most recently, President-Elect.

When asked how she felt about her new appointment she said, "I am honored to be elected president and look forward to leading the organization as we seek to grow membership and promote professionalism throughout the state.”
