UWG’s Student Development Center has changed its name to the Counseling and Career Development Center to better reflect the services it offers to enrolled students.
The Counseling and Career Development Center is located in Row Hall, Room 123. It provides personal, academic and career counseling, and disability support services. These services are free and confidential.
The center offers the following services:
Counseling: Students find counseling helpful for a variety of reasons. College can be stressful. Counseling offers support, tools and resources for relieving stress. Counselors work with students to build confidence, to help them solve problems and to improve themselves. Career Development: What is your major? That is probably the most frequent question college students hear. The career development program is designed to help students whether they have declared a major or not. Among the other services, the center can helps students develop interview skills. For UWG students still searching for a major, career development offers a specialized, individualized program that will help them find the right fit.
