Prevent@UWG has named the winners of its first Mental Health Hero Challenge. The challenge was designed to promote awareness of mental health issues and resources on the University of West Georgia campus.
In all, 30 UWG student organizations participated in the challenge. The organizations accumulated points based on their participation in events and activities, including Suicide Prevention Week, Furry Friends for Finals, and awareness training for their members.

Funding was provided through a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). It was administered by the Counseling and Career Development Center and the Department of Collaborative Support and Intervention.
