We are very proud to announce that our Men’s Basketball Program has received an invitation to continue play in the 2012 NCAA South Regional, as the 3rd seed, March 10-13, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Our guys will get the tournament off to a rousing start as we tipoff at 1 p.m. (ET) on Saturday against the Eckerd Tritons. We are proud of our Wolves and wish to take all of West Georgia to Huntsville on Saturday to provide that “6th Man” support for our guys.

Please take note of the following opportunities as we prepare to “carry the West Georgia flag” on Saturday….

• Let’s provide a great “send-off” for the team and coaches Thursday evening as they depart The Coliseum, bound for Huntsville. The bus is set to leave the station at 6 p.m. Come join us around 5:45 p.m. in the loading dock area as we send the team on its way, knowing the UWG community is fully behind them as they set sail.
• Saturday Tip-off vs. Eckerd. 1 P.M. Spraggins Hall. Huntsville, Alabama. Adult tickets - $8. Student tickets - $4. Let’s “rock the house” in support of our Wolves. A win on Saturday will propel us into the semi-final round Sunday afternoon against the winner of the Christian Brothers/Florida Southern matchup.

Our team has worked hard to represent our university in a great way all season long…now it’s our time, as fans and supporters, to display a great show of support to our Wolves in their quest for the championship. We can be the “6th man” they need in this journey!
