In anticipation of the 2012 UWG football season, West Georgia students are invited to University Stadium on Wednesday, August 29 at 8 p.m. to begin a new tradition with "The HOWL."
The HOWL is intended to be a pep rally to help educate students, both new and returning, on how to cheer at West Georgia athletic events. The UWG Marching Band, also known as "The Sound That Lights The South," as well as the UCA National Champion UWG cheerleaders will be on hand to help the UWG community to learn specific cheers and chants in preparation for the Wolves' home opener with Point on Saturday, September 1.
"West Georgia students and fans already make our games exciting with their energy," said Senior Associate Athletic Director Eddie Duffey. “We are excited about the opportunity to help continue the enhancement of our gameday atmosphere."
The HOWL will begin next Wednesday at 8 p.m., all students, faculty, staff and UWG fans are invited and encouraged to attend.
