UWG Talks About Abstinence

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

The Responsible Sexuality Committee at the University of West Georgia invites the community to participate in a roundtable discussion on abstinence at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13 in the Campus Center Ballroom.

“The objective is to create a comfortable environment where people can hear views and ask questions,” said Nadya Popov, professor of history and event planner. “We want to present options and to let people know it’s ok to wait.”

This informative conversation features Dr. Daniel Helminiak, professor of psychology; Rev. Karen Kagiyama from the FISH House; and two UWG peer educators from Health Services.

The Responsible Sexuality Committee plans to offer its annual “Let’s Talk About Sex” roundtable discussion in the spring.
