1 in 7 people worldwide now suffer from chronic hunger—more than one billion women, men and children. Oxfam America is an international relief and development organization which creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice. The Oxfam America Hunger Banquet enables participants to become part of the movement to beat poverty and to experience firsthand how our decisions affect others in the world.
This event is co-sponsored by several UWG student organizations. Our community supporters are the League of Women Voters Carrollton – Carroll County, Carroll County Soup Kitchen and Opens Hands.
