The UWG basketball program kicks off Gulf South Conference play this week, first taking on Alabama-Huntsville on the road on Thursday. Saturday's originally scheduled games against Shorter have been moved to Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The change came due to the various interests that the two communities share in Rome and Carrollton regarding Saturday's activities, as both institutions' desire to serve the desires and needs of their fan and support bases by accommodating with the Sunday afternoon tip times.
West Georgia's women's game with Shorter will now take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at The Coliseum, with the men's tip moving to 5 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.
In an effort to further accommodate fans, the UWG Athletic Department is opening up free admission in various ways for fans. The game is a ticketed event, with ticket prices and season ticket information available at this link. Any person will gain free admission with the donation of an unopened toy to the Wolves' Holiday Toy Drive. In addition, any fan with a church bulletin will also be able to gain free admission to Sunday's games.
