UWG’s 13th Annual Mardi Gras of Majors will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, from 9:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the TLC Atrium. This exciting and important event gives undeclared and exploratory students the chance to learn more about each major UWG offers.Mardi Gras of Majors Provides Guidance to Students

Mardi Gras of Majors, sponsored by The EXCEL Center, connects nearly 1,000 undeclared students with representatives from each academic department at UWG. The representatives are available to discuss majors, career options and even to assist in formally declaring a major.

“This will be an excellent opportunity for students to learn first hand about all the academic programs the University has to offer,” said Jennifer Stewart, EXCEL Center advisor and coordinator of the event.

The EXCEL Center is a resource center for all students and their parents, aiding in making the college experience more successful. The center’s services range from mentoring and tutoring to advising and sponsoring multicultural programs. The Mardi Gras of Majors began in 2000 and the EXCEL Center hopes that this year yields the greatest student participation yet.
