UWG Welcomes Dr. Alicia Caudill

On Friday, March 1, Dr. Alicia Caudill began work as the University of West Georgia’s new Dean of Students and Associate Vice President for Student Life. The position, a restructured position within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, replaces the title of Chief Judicial Officer.

In addition to handling all judicial matters, Caudill will supervise Housing and Residence Life, University Recreation, the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Counseling and Career Development, Career Services and the Center for Student Involvement. Caudill will also work closely with the Campus Intervention Team to help students in crisis.

Caudill has more than 16 years of experience in student development. She has spent more than 10 years as the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students at Gainesville State University (now the University of North Georgia). She received her Ph.D. in Student Affairs at the University of Georgia in 2007.
