Undergraduate researchers are the focus of UWG’s annual Research Day on Wednesday, March 13. Students will compete before panels of judges in their respective fields of study. Each of the winners on Research Day will present their research on April 2 at Big Night.
Education researchers will compete early, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 11. Their research will be judged in the Education Center, room 227. Science and Math competitions will be the first ones on Wednesday, March 13, starting at 12 p.m. in Callaway 146. They will conclude at 5 p.m. The Social Sciences competition will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. in TLC 1305, and Arts will be from 4 to 8 p.m. in Kathy Cashen Hall. Humanities will be from 5 to 8 p.m. in TLC 1200, and, lastly, Business judging will begin at 7 p.m. in the RCOB Lecture Hall.
The six winners from each category will get to present their research to students, faculty, and community members on Big Night on April 2. This celebration, which will be held at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center ballroom, will give the undergraduate researchers the opportunity to explain their research to a wider audience. Everyone is invited to celebrate the achievements of these student researchers.
