The Townsend Center will host its first night of “Cirque Zuma Zuma,” on Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. The act, titled “An African Spectacle,” was a 2011 America’s Got Talent finalist and includes artists from sixteen African nations performing an astonishing display of circus skills. Acrobats, lion dancers, jugglers, singers and gymnasts will join the stage for a spectacle of African style music and movement.
Audience members can expect to enjoy the sounds of a South African vocalist and percussionists from Zimbabwe, as well as Egyptian limbo dancers, South African gumboot dancers, Gabonese tumblers, South African contortionists, pole acts and more.
Seats are still available for the Thursday night show. Tickets start at $15 for children, $25 for adults and $22 for senior citizens and members of the military. Limited seating available on Friday.
