Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Some of the best short films from the 2013 Atlanta Film Festival are coming to the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center this week. The screening, sponsored by the UWG Film Society and Film Studies Program, offers several short films that span a wide variety of interests. This free and public event includes a screening on Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at The Learning Center (TLC) 1305 and Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center.

On Thursday, writer and actor Curtis Snow will host a screening of his award-winning film, “Snow on tha Bluff”. Snow will introduce the film and make himself available to answer questions afterward.

On Friday, a program of short films will be shown to represent some of the best short animation, fiction and documentary films from this year’s 37th Annual Atlanta Film Festival. The festival programmers, who selected an estimated 100 short films from nearly 2000 submissions, will be on hand to present the wonderful program, curated in conjunction with the UWG Film Society and Film Studies Program.
