The University of West Georgia’s College of Education will host Learning Festival 2013. This event is held annually, and this year marks the seventh year for this event. The event is scheduled for May 30 and May 31 from 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. in the Education Center located on UWG’s campus.
This year’s event will be a conference-style program that will highlight current trends and practices in education while featuring hands-on and interactive sessions. Sessions will include topics of the following: Standards Based Classrooms, Response to Intervention, Teacher Keys, Cherokee Rose-Writing Project and Differentiated Instruction.
Keynote speakers will be author Terry Kay and 2013 Georgia Teacher of the Year recipient Lauren Eckman.
This event is open to anyone who is interested in quality teaching and learning. All public school employees and current UWG students are invited to attend.
