International Night Spotlights Diversity

Thursday, February 4, 2010

The 25th annual International Night will present hundreds of guests with cuisine from around the world, cultural entertainment from 40 countries and a celebration of the embraced diversity on the university campus. Tickets are still available on campus and will be sold at the door. The celebration takes place on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. in the Food Services Building (Z-6).

Hosted by the International Student Club, students have spent days cooking their favorite foods that represent their country’s history or favorite family meals. Lavish costumes and music will also be featured on stage for guests.

International students began working on the annual event months in advance: practicing dances, skits, cultural presentations and recipes that culminate with great excitement at the evening event.

Admission is $5 for UWG students with ID, $7 for children under 12 and $8 for the community. Tickets are available at Row Hall, Room 228, or at (Z-6). The office of International Services & Programs supports and advises the international student community on campus.
