Orientation
Orientation programs for beginning undergraduate freshmen and undergraduate transfer students are held at the beginning of the spring and summer semesters and throughout the summer for the fall semester to assist students in becoming familiar with university policies, the curriculum, fees, campus activities, and other pertinent information. During orientation, new students meet University officials, register for classes, and talk with West Georgia students, staff, and faculty advisors. All new undergraduate students are required to attend orientation. Parents are invited to participate in orientation activities planned especially for them. Transient, unclassified and auditor students do not attend orientation. Students enrolled exclusively in online courses or programs may be exempted from this requirement.
