STEM Initiative
The UWise Grant
The UWise (University of West Georgia Institutional STEM Excellence) grant has been funded by the Georgia Board of Regents under the STEM II initiative, along with seven other USG institutions, to help strengthen STEM education and student learning.
The goals of UWise are:
- Help students succeed in the STEM curriculum.
- Allow students and facuty to experience innovative approaches in STEM teaching and learning.
- Provide opportunities to students to explore STEM career options.
- Prepare future Science and Mathematics teachers.
- Increase the number of professionals for the STEM workforce.
