UWISE SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS (June 28 – July 25, 2015)

The UWise Summer Bridge Program is designed to give you a head start as you transition to college, with additional support provided during your freshman year to help you succeed as a science or math major.

  • Students must enroll in two courses (2015 Summer Session IV, June 28 – July 25). The courses are MATH 1111 (3 credit hours) and XIDS 2100 (English writing with a STEM focus; 3 credit hours, Area C). There will be daily mandatory writing and homework sessions.
  • Students must participate actively in ALL academic and social activities, including one Saturday during the Summer Bridge Program.
  • If you decide to live on campus, the room is FREE during the Summer Bridge Program (June 28-July 25, 2015). However, if you drop out, or are dismissed from the program you may be responsible for costs associated with the room.
  • You will have limited access to personal electronic gadgets such as cell phones, computers, and electronic games during the Summer Bridge Program class times.

ADDITIONAL UWISE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

UWise students participate in a year-long Freshman Learning Community in Fall 2015 and Spring 2016, which includes taking pre-selected courses with a cohort of students.
