Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

SACS Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement Principle 2.12 requires "an institution to develop an acceptable Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and show that the plan is part of an ongoing planning and evaluation process. Engaging the wider academic community, the QEP is based upon a comprehensive and thorough analysis of the effectiveness of the learning environment for supporting student learning and accomplishing the mission of the institution. It is used to outline a course of action for institutional improvement by addressing one or more issues that contribute to institutional quality, with special attention to student learning."

The University of West Georgia (UWG) launched the development of its QEP in April of 2010. Please find the process for the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) creation at the following link: Quality Enhancement and SACS Compliance. Updates to the QEP process and summaries of data collection and analysis will be posted on this site. Please submit any ideas for a QEP topic or any recommendations for the QEP process to the following email address: qep@westga.edu.
